@wpears' workaround also worked for me, but also required me to manually set PRAGMA writable_schema.

sql PRAGMA writable_schema = 1; UPDATE sqlite_master SET sql = 'CREATE TABLE [foos] (...)' PRAGMA writable_schema = 0;
